About Us

In September 8, 1975, the different organizations of Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines,  were unified into a single functional organization known as the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (GEP).

In pursuit of uplifting the standards of geodetic engineering, the GEPI was recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the only accredited organization of geodetic engineers with accreditation number 013-1975 in the same year. 

On June 19, 1965, Republic Act No. 4374, otherwise known as “The GEODETIC ENGINEERING LAW” was created paving the way for Geodetic Engineering in the country. Subsequently, it was amended by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 202 dated June 2, 1973 and by Presidential Decree No. 335 dated November 13, 1973. R.A. 4374 as amended was repealed by Republic Act No. 8560 otherwise known as the “PHILIPPINE GEODETIC ENGINEERING ACT OF 1998” which as approved on March 28, 2003. 

The Board of Geodetic Engineering and the Professional Regulation Commission in 2003, passed Resolution No. 04 in which recognition was given to the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines, Incorporated as the “ONE AND ONLY INTEGRATED AND ACCREDITED ORGANIZATION OF GEODETIC ENGINEERS”.
